Is Christian travel currently enjoying a moment of well-deserved recognition? We’ve been leading exceptional travel experiences for churches and ministries since 1981. So, Christian cruises and tours definitely aren’t a new concept for us, but it’s clear these days that more and more people are learning about and choosing to join in faith-based travel.

Consider this recent Fox News article, which mentions Inspiration by name along with our upcoming cruises with MercyMe, Amy Grant and Sandi Patty. As the article states:

There truly is a cruise for everyone. From Holy Land sailings to “voluntourism" trips, travelers are discovering ways to make the world their church, while sharing and applying their faith on vacation. And the market is a healthy one.

The piece goes on to describe the variety of religious travel experiences available today, from group tours to Israel to cruises featuring theological or devotional elements—much like our Christian travel experiences led by Chuck Swindoll or David Jeremiah.

Remarkably, two-thirds of Americans have never been on a cruise at all, though every year more and more are trying out this economical and convenient method of travel. Those who have cruised before tend to discover that faith-based cruising exceeds their expectations on every level. According to the personal testimonies we receive following all of our trips, these Christian cruises “spoil” our travelers forever:

“This was cruise #7 for Roger and me, but the first coordinated by Inspiration. Now that we know what we’ve been missing, it will be hard to consider any cruise opportunities without a spiritual emphasis.”—Rachel and Roger M.

“We just returned from the most fabulous cruise we have ever experienced, and we have been on many, many cruises...We are still ‘flying high’ from the most awesome and inspirational week ever.”—Kathryn & John P.

“I was so blessed to see the love of Jesus all around. I have been on two secular cruises and nothing is better than a Christian cruise.”—Virginia M.

Cruises with a Christian theme may be far less common than the hundreds of cruise opportunities available every week worldwide, but they’re becoming much more frequent than when we began 35 years ago. If you’ve traveled with us before, you already realize the secret others are just now starting to discover: From the music and teaching to the fellowship with like-minded travelers, nothing compares to an uplifting cruise that focuses on the presence of God.
