2017 is shaping up to be a big one for Gospel music legend CeCe Winans. Her latest record, Let Them Fall in Love, released February 3rd, represents the Detroit star’s first solo album in nearly a decade. Directly following this release, she performed on “Austin City Limits,” the legendary music program airing on PBS.

And the week of July 22-29, 2017, she’ll headline an already incredible roster of guest musicians on the In Touch Ministries cruise to Alaska—CeCe’s first travel experience with Inspiration Cruises & Tours. From Amy Grant to Gaither Homecoming, our cruises regularly feature the brightest lights in contemporary Christian music. But CeCe Winans is a household name even for those unfamiliar with the industry.

Having sold 12 million records in her decades-long career, CeCe Winans is the best-selling and most-awarded female Gospel artist of all time with 10 Grammys (plus 21 Grammy nominations), 20 Dove Awards, 7 Stellar Awards and 3 NAACP Image awards. She is the founder of the PureSprings Gospel record label and performed for years alongside her brother as the acclaimed BeBe & CeCe Winans. With a catalog of countless recordings and powerful renditions of hymns, she is probably best known for her chart-topping “Alabaster Box” and “Count on Me,” a duet with Whitney Houston.

Winans’ new album represents a three-year recording process helmed by her son, Alvin Love III, and is considered her most adventurous, youthful and genre-bending release to date. “I wanted to make an album that ties us together,” she has said, “something that young people would be able to learn from and be inspired by."

A 2015 Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee, Winans needs no introduction to older fans. She has performed for secular audiences all over the world, but says singing for God—and the people of God—is where she finds herself most at home. “Having a relationship with God, reading my Bible and praying daily is what keeps me going and balanced,” she said in a recent interview. “When I meet God, he isn’t going to ask me, ‘CeCe, so how many Grammys did you win?’ He’s going to ask, ‘What good did you do with what I gave you?’ I’m a believer that happens to sing, not a singer that happens to believe.”

We’re thrilled to have CeCe share her gifts with us on the upcoming InTouch cruise, alongside other artists like The Collingsworth Family, Greater Vision and Babbie Mason. Featuring great teaching from Charles Stanley and his son, Andy Stanley—not to mention the unparalleled beauty of Alaska—this cruise represents the opportunity to study God’s Word, worship in the beauty of Creation and spend a week with Cece Winans, a true music icon.
