The World’s Best Journeys: In Order

Have you ever noticed that everyone is in search of the perfect vacation? It seems we’re all looking for the best journeys the world has to offer. Flight Network, Canada’s largest travel agency, has decided to make this quest a bit easier by surveying some the world’s top travel professionals, including Inspiration Cruises & Tours.

As a Christian cruise and tour company, we were asked to suggest and rank what we consider to be the world’s best once-in-a-lifetime journeys. The results reflect the judge’s votes in identifying “the top 50 transformative trips every traveller must experience in their lifetime.”

And the world’s top travel experiences are:

Coming in at #1 is an Expedition to Antarctica, due to the otherworldly landscape of this isolated, icy place. Rounding out the top five are: a cruise of the Galapagos Islands, traveling the Trans-Siberian Railway, trekking to Machu Picchu and—closer to home—driving the Pacific Coast Highway.

The seventh-ranked journey falls within our realm of expertise: a cruise to Alaska, which one judge described as “an intimate and mystical bucket list experience.” This journey was one of our suggestions, and we certainly agree that any experience of Alaska’s pristine wilderness results in countless spiritually resonant moments.
