Join this unforgettable Christian cruise to Alaska with WAY-FM featuring: Tenth Avenue North, Hawk Nelson, Jordan Feliz and more

Next summer will mark the 32nd anniversary of WAY-FM. As we prepare for this milestone, my wife Cathy and I, along with the leadership of WAY-FM, invite you and your family to a very special seven-day cruise to amazing Alaska.
Alaska is one of the most visually-stunning landscapes on our planet—and it’s right here in North America. America’s 49th state is a land of spectacular glaciers, towering mountains, cascading waterfalls and deep green forests. You’re just as likely to see wildlife like bears or bald eagles here as you are to meet its friendly, native population.
God’s creative power is visible everywhere you look in Alaska, which is why we’re excited to invite you to join Wally, Bekah and CJ & Joy – PLUS artists Jordan Feliz, Hawk Nelson and Tenth Avenue North for the WAY-FM Alaska Summer Cruise. Our heart in leading this cruise to Alaska is to give you the chance to benefit from spiritual focus, renewal and fun in the luxurious cruise setting of Alaska’s coastline! We can’t think of any better opportunity to get away, get inspired and get closer to the Creator than to draw close to Him in His creation.
There will be nightly concerts, acoustic sets, Q&A sessions, special receptions, daily devotions and so much more as we celebrate our 32nd year of mission to influencing others to love and follow Jesus! I look forward to meeting you in Seattle on the deck of the msOosterdam in July 2019!

Meet These Special Guests During Your Exceptional Travel Experience

I am not perfect, and I definitely still have some edges. I am a person, like you, who is trying to consistently live out my faith on a daily basis. Some days I succeed and some days I fail. Sometimes I ask questions to start conversations and, other times, because I honestly don’t know the answer. I realize this show is not for everybody, but it is for someone everyday. I have seen God use the serious as well as the silly things we do to change lives and that is the goal of this show.
Hometown: West Palm Beach, Florida
College: University of Central Florida (undergraduate), Grand Canyon University (graduate)
Family: Wife, Mardi and daughter, Haille

Tenth Avenue North made their national debut in 2008 with their first RIAA gold certification album Over and Underneath, which spawned the hits “Love is Here,” “By Your Side” and “Hold My Heart.” Tenth Avenue North won the Gospel Music Association Dove Award in 2009 for New Artist of the Year and in 2010 “By Your Side” was named Song of the Year. The band gained further momentum with 2010’s The Light Meets the Dark and The Struggle in 2012, which continued to populate radio and the church with such memorable songs as “Healing Begins,” “You Are More,” “Losing” and “Worn.” In November 2014, the band released their fourth studio project, Cathedrals, with the first radio single “No Man Is An Island.” Their most recent project, Followers, produced the No. 1 song at CHR radio, "What You Want,” and the Top 5 radio hit “I Have This Hope.”

Here are 4 things you need to know about CJ:
1. He loves to have fun!
2. He’s a genuinely nice guy and full of quirky charm. Listening and getting to know him is sure to elevate your day!
3. He describes himself as a “good Samaritan, washed up athlete, and especially gifted napper.”
4. His favorite quote is: “The world is full of nice people… If you can’t find one… BE ONE!”
Joy grew up as a pastor’s daughter in the woods of West Virginia. She’s the only girl in her family with three brothers, but still brings the super girly girl point of view to the conversation. Joy loves all things sparkly and, yes, she still secretly wants to be a princess. Joy has a fun and bubbly personality, but she’s also one of the most unfortunate people you’ll ever meet (If it’s going to happen to someone, it’s going to happen to Joy!) In fact, she has no pets because she can’t even keep the house plants alive! In spite of her misfortunes, Joy brings sunshine and a breath of fresh air to everyone she meets. Growing up in the church gave Joy a love and passion for people. She believes faith is a constant journey and never pretends to have it all figured out. Speaking honestly about real life struggles, she loves processing life and learning together! There’s never a dull moment with Joy!

For Jordan Feliz, 2016 was an incredible and breakout year for the talented singer/songwriter. He received major awards nominations from the GMA Dove Awards in August (New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year – “The River”) and at the K-LOVE Fan Awards in June for Breakout Single of the Year (“The River”). Feliz also released his first full album, The River, in April and it debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart. The first single from the project, “Never Too Far Gone,” became his second No. 1 song. His mega-hit tune, “The River,” released in 2015 and was the first single from his debut Centricity project, Beloved. The song remained No.1 for ten weeks on Billboard’s National Christian Audience Chart and seven weeks on the CHR/Hot AC Chart. It remains in the Top 30 on iTunes Christian Singles chart. Feliz hails from Central California and began his professional music career as the frontman for a mainstream rock band, before becoming a solo Christian artist, moving to Nashville and signing his first label deal with Centricity Music in 2015.

College: Olivet Nazarene University,(Bourbonnais, IL)
Family: Husband, Joey
Pets: Hadley, the Beagle/German Shepherd mix (but shouldn’t she be in the family category?)
Celebrity Look-A-Likes: I’ve been told I look like Kate Hudson…I’ve also been told I look like David Bowie
Paper or Plastic Quiz:
Cartoons or the news? Cartoons. The news scares me. Actually, some cartoons scare me. Actually, everything scares me.
Fancy car or soccer mom van? Mini van, all the way. Mine is covered in duct tape. It has so much character.
Basketball or mini golf? I’m 6’1″, so you’d THINK I’d be amazing at basketball…but I’m actually not good at either of them. Or any sport, for that matter. Joke’s on you.
Sweet or salty? Let’s be honest. If it’s in front of me, I’ll eat it no matter what.
Catch a cold or have the flu? Since I’m a hypochondriac, both sound like a death sentence to me. That’s what WebMD says, at least.

Departing From Seattle, WA (Sunday, July 21, 2019)
Embarkation: 11:30 A.M.—2:30 P.M. Depart: 4:00 P.M.

DAY AT SEAJuly 22
After a morning devotion from the balcony, walk around the ship’s deck and enjoy the fresh ocean air. Or treat yourself in the ship’s spa. During today’s lunch, sit with someone new—conversations with friends will become a highlight of your cruise.
STEPHENS PASSAGE (SCENIC CRUISING) July 23
Crowned with glaciers and mountains that plunge into the sea, this famed "shortcut" is one you'll never want to leave. During a dynamic group session, join with Believers from all over to hear God’s Word—growing closer to Him and having the time of your life.
JUNEAU, ALASKA July 23, 1:00 P.M.–9:00 P.M.
While Alaska’s capital city arose during the gold rush in 1880, you’ll participate in new kind of rush: one of adventure tourism. In recent years, this modern city with a frontier past has become an extremely popular destination for cruisers. A coastal gem, Juneau is surrounded by lush forests, towering mountains and the icy Gastineau Channel. Nearby wonders like Mendenhall Glacier, the Juneau icefields and Tongass National Forest offer countless opportunities to revel in the world God created. Whether you enjoy hiking, whale-watching or simply shopping in the presence of astonishing views, adventure awaits in Juneau.
HUBBARD GLACIER (SCENIC CRUISING), ALASKA July 24, 2:00 P.M.–6:00 P.M.
You’ll be inspired to worship as you take in the majesty of Hubbard Glacier. At 76 miles long, it’s the largest tidewater glacier in North America, moving from Canada's Mt. Logan toward the Gulf of Alaska, where it plunges several hundred feet down into Disenchantment Bay. You’re likely to gasp at both its size—Hubbard Glacier towers over a cruise ship—and its unforgettable blue coloring.
SITKA, ALASKA July 25, 8:00 A.M.–4:00 P.M.
You’ll spend a thought-provoking day in multicultural Sitka, where Native Alaska collides with Russian heritage. A prominent Russian settlement in the 19th century, Sitka was once the most important seaport on the West Coast. Today, this remote fishing village is more notable for its sweeping Pacific views or the snowcapped crater of Mt. Edgecumbe, a dormant volcano. Along with the highlights of God’s Creation, you’ll also be treated to the dramatic man-made spires of St. Michael’s Cathedral, Sitka’s amazing seafood restaurants and the fascinating Raptor Center and Totem Park.
KETCHIKAN, ALASKAJuly 26, 7:00 A.M.–1:00 P.M.
What will you do in the “Salmon Capital of the World”? Your options are many. Stroll the stilted houses and colorful shops of the historic Creek Street boardwalk. Explore the world’s largest collection of standing totem poles, distributed among four locations as symbols of Native Alaska’s artistry and culture. Take in the magnificent scenery of the surrounding forests, peaks and waterfalls for which the state is known. Weathered and unique, Ketchikan is authentic Alaska.
VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA July 27, 6:00 P.M.–11:30 P.M.
In Victoria, you’ll experience one of the most British cities in the Americas. This “City of Gardens” is located at the southern tip of Vancouver Island, but it might as well be on the other side of the Atlantic. Here, you’ll find double-decker buses traveling from turreted castles to modern skyscrapers. In one direction, you’ll catch views of a spectacular natural harbor. In the other, you’ll find snowcapped mountains. Meanwhile, you’ll want to spend as much time as possible enjoying Victoria’s gourmet restaurants, inspiring galleries and sweet boutiques.Concluding In Seattle, WA (Sunday, July 28, 2019)
Arrive: 7:00 A.M. Debarkation: 8:00 A.M.–10:00 A.M.
All dates and locations subject to change.
America's Last Frontier
This is a land where ancient glaciers drop house-size chunks of ice into the sea with a roar, where grizzlies fish for spawning salmon, where the lush green canopy of trees is offset by distant snowy mountains and where the word "majestic" is hardly enough to describe what you see. Nowhere else in North America is the scenery so spectacular and God’s creative wonder so vivid. From Juneau to Ketchikan, from caribou to king salmon, Alaska is the perfect place to reconnect with your Creator.
North American Animals
Have your camera ready as moose and bears wander through meadows and streams, whales burst from the ocean’s surface and eagles fly overhead.

Calving Glaciers
Watch in amazement as columns and shards of glacial ice shear off and splash into the ocean.

Towns on the Edge of the World
Explore the unique personality and learn the culture of cities and towns living on the border of the Alaskan wilderness.
